Playing vinyl with bypass function
« on: December 06, 2008, 02:04:48 pm »
Okay so I bought reloop spin and I like it so far, too bad though that I have to actually rip all my vinyl to a 320kbps mp3 in order to play my own vinyls.

This is because the bypass function fucks the sound up heavily. Check it out for yourself in the next link I've put below, it demonstrates a one minute sample without and with bypass function. (so the first sample is a vinyl rip without reloop spin!)

Please tell me if I have some setting wrong.

hi baruch,

it's true that the sound with bypass function is not too good at the moment - sorry for the inconvenience. We are working on an update. Yet, the main problem lies with the interface which was mainly meant for using it only for Digital Control - not analogue. Try using a Y-Cinch cable and routing the vinyl signal to the phono inputs of the mixer to check if you will get better results.

okay thank you for the response, I would like to know if that is really being worked on, or you are just saying it to not have too many negative comments on the board :)

Okay, so I've downloaded the new software hoping that you would have adressed this problem properly by now (it's been over a year since this problem has been known.) And I was very sad to see that you -still- haven't fixed this problem.

I guess there is no fix and I'm not able to play vinyl through reloop spin?

it is not because of the software, it is a hardware thing.
you can play vinyls simply by using a y-adapter.
there is also a tutorial on youtube.
- 2x Reloop RMP-3 alpha
- Digital Jockey 3 -Master Edition -
- Native Instruments Traktor PRO 2
