« on: July 01, 2010, 09:38:23 am »
I just bought 2 RMP2's and i struggle with one thing...

how the hell do you adjust the BPM. i turned of the autoBPM and tried to "tap", but the tempo of the track doesn't change.
Can someone help me?

you should learn to beatmatch with your ear !
the bpm feature ist just to give you the appoximate speed of the track.

Ok... I get it.. I have no problem at all with that, but please answer to my one question - If you introduce the feature in your product, wouldn't be nice that it actually work and do what it was designed to do ?

Why Pioneer can produce mp3 deck which beatmatching system works 100% and locks the beat tight ?

the actual "bpm feature ist just to give you the appoximate speed of the track" answer, is the worst thing I heard, it's like you say - oh, it's there but it's just for the show and it doesn't work but buy it anyway...

I have the same problem as DJ Zound - but with the difference that I own 2x rmp1 scratch white and rmx-40 white.

If you knew that your decks had a feature that does not work - why you didn't advertise that ? actualy, you could put your "bpm feature ist just to give you the appoximate speed of the track" answer to the sales advertisement, I would save a money that way...

i did not say that the feature does not work at all.
the accuracy of the output depends on the structure of the analyzed track.
if there is a clear 4-4 structure the bpm is counted right.
we have tested models of other manufactors, pioneer and denon.
the results were the same.
