New to this RMP2
« on: July 04, 2010, 03:05:49 pm »
Just bought a pair of used RMP2s, seems to be working very good this far. But i dont think the previous owner has updated the software. So how do i do that? The update forum is empty.

When i check version-information it says:
SER: VER034
BUF: VER001
DSP: VER005
CON: VER007

I also have some problems with the bpmcounter i think, its not working very well. (No rounding, and sometimes jumps from 128 to 140 or something).

Shouldt it be a way of setting the bpm with a knob totally manually aswell? (without tap)

(i know that you beatmatch with your ear, but in some cases you need to have it set correctly. For instance when you want to half your loop and get it right)

From me, besides this, good work reloop. Great product  ;)

there is no update for the rmp-2 available at the moment.

the bpm feature is just to show you the approximate speed of the track.
its accoracy also depends on the music style and the part of the track.
- 2x Reloop RMP-3 alpha
- Digital Jockey 3 -Master Edition -
- Native Instruments Traktor PRO 2

Okey,  but is this something that could be improved in a coming update?

Because the time parameter in the effects is also matched to the beat (quarter, halv and so on) so its important to have it right if you want to have a delayeffect for instance.

Agreed...i really like my rmp-2,s. Except for the floaty bpm counters.
These rmp-2 decks strike me as great for scratching, but bad news if
you,re trying to mix a seamless house set.Especially when your sets are
2hrs long. Its really put me off using them lately to be honest as i find
doing a set with them mentally exhausting trying to keep the beats per
minute matched.Damn it gets confusing. The Pioneer players find the beat
and lock it in. Hopefully Reloop will address this issue and in future & the
Reloop players will do the same. A token bpm counter does not a bpm
counter make.   :)
