The problem with the playback- rmp-2.
« on: July 11, 2010, 11:38:30 pm »
(Sorry I copied the wrong text :P)

Hello. I teach English to recently so forgive me for my mistakes. I have two Reloop RMP-2. My problem is this: do not play all the tracks that are recorded on the disc. What to do with this problem?

Service in Poland wrote me a message:

RMP 2 reads MP3 formats:

MPEG 1 Layer 3 standard
MPEG 2 Layer 3 standard
MPEG 2.5 Layer 3 standard

I do not know now how to recognize these formats :/

I have the same problem with my RMP-1 ltd.  The Maxell CD-R disc I created last night with Nero plays some of the mp3 tracks but not all however the player appears to play them but with no sound.  For some reason, the ones I downloaded from Beatport were the problem and as these are in mp3 format, I can't directly create new mp3's from the source without compromising quality.

They are 320kbps at 44kHz which I'd expect to work.  Admittedly, I have completed some of the missing MP3 tags but don't expect this to be the problem though.  The formats listed above for the RMP-2 are the same for this player too.  Is there a way of telling if these files are compatible?  Just concerned that if I was to gig with this disc then the players at the venue may have same problem.  I can't see any firmware updates for this unit either.

Could it be that I have too many tracks on the disc as it is close to being full to the brim?

Need this sorted...any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Steve

Just looked again and iTunes gives a bit more info on the files:

Format is MPEG-1, Layer 3
Bit rate is 44.1kHz
ID3 tags is v2.3
Encoded with LAME3.97

I also notice the tracks that play but with no sound show a track length of around 2 mins which isn't right.

mmm?
