Hi,
I recently purchased the spin 2+ and have attempted on numerous occations, to calibrate the time coded vinyls. (only succeeding twice)
I have an:
Acer 6920g Laptop
2.00GHz Dual Core
4GB Ram
32-bit Operating system (running Windows vista)
2x Technics MK2's
Numark EM260 Mixer
and the Reloop Spin 2+ package.
On my first attempt I installed the programme from the DVD/CD and included the serial as provided, I made sure I correctly attached the turntables to input 1 and 2 (checking they were on phono 1/2 on the back switch and adjusting the gains gently), I then ran the out's to the back of my mixer (and checking they were coming in as lineand adjusting the mixer to line too). I checked all volume and gains on the mixer to be safe.
I have run the programme and the calibration test finds nothing when the timecoded vinyl are spinning???
I have attemped to use it with and without Phase inversion too, just incase that might have cause a problem.
On the rare occasion the laptop has managed to pick up one of the vinyl's and then about 5/10mins later the other... but this is very rare and random! I save the position and calibration and it works, but if I restart the laptop IT'S GONE??!
I have recently installed the latest version of Spin 2+, and reinstalled to check that it's updated the drivers, this is becoming very frustrating as I'm certain both my laptop and equipment is in good working order.
Can you reccommend any further comments as to how I can calibrate my turntables "simply" so that spin 2+ will work on a regular basis properly!?
Tom
