Hi i'm new in the forum and I really appreciate the reloop products... I already own a IQ2 and two 2000 turntables.

I own a traktor scratch and would like to know, if somebody knows, what grade of compatibility there is between the software and the Reloop RMP-1 scratch b and RMP-2...

I imagine that they will basically work but I also know that not all the features of traktor scratch are working on every cd player. For example, the pioneer cdj100 and 200 work pretty good as far as I want to spin the timecoded cd "normally", but they do not have a Vinyl/Scratch option (like the mentioned Reloops) so it is NOT possible to search the song with the jog wheel (but only with FWD and REW buttons, not very good).
Now, is this possible with the Reloops?

Another thing is that with the cdjs 100 and 200 once the song is looped (and therefore in "relative mode" in traktor scratch) it is impossible to stop it with play/pause or control it with the search buttons .... this is pretty disturbing, because I might want to listen how the loop sounds and then stop the song to let it go again whenever I think it would be appropriate (i think this depends always on the Vinyl/scratch option). Is this possible with the reloops?

Futhermore, the Vinyl/Scracth option allows (on the Pioneer cdj 400) to stop the song by pressing on the jogwheel (exactly as i would od with a real vinyl)? Do the reloops allow this?

Does the "2 parts" jog wheel, how is described in the product page on the reloop page, allow also to use the jog wheel to slow down or speed up the song (in order to beat match once the picth on the 2 decks is the same)??

I would be really thankful if somebody could answer these difficult questions, I would like to be sure before spending a lot of money on the reloop cd players...

I would also appreciate very much to know if somebody has experienced the use of the reloop cd players with traktor scratch in general... even if he does not have precise answers to my question.

Thank you very very much

Luca

At least the RMP-2 should work very well using Traktor Scratch Pro.

To search a song, you can use the knob (fwd/rew), that's clear. But it is also possible to activate "Scratch", so you can also search the track by scrolling the jog.

Looping should work seamlessly with the RMP-2. I will test this for you.

Futhermore, the Vinyl/Scracth option allows (on the Pioneer cdj 400) to stop the song by pressing on the jogwheel (exactly as i would od with a real vinyl)? Do the reloops allow this?

This is no problem with the RMP-2 and also RMP-1 Scratch (last one, I assume), because both are touch sensitive, it's a two part jogwheel.

Does the "2 parts" jog wheel, how is described in the product page on the reloop page, allow also to use the jog wheel to slow down or speed up the song (in order to beat match once the picth on the 2 decks is the same)??

Yes, both do.

I would be really thankful if somebody could answer these difficult questions, I would like to be sure before spending a lot of money on the reloop cd players...

I've tested it myself, so you can be sure that it'll work as expected. Nevertheless, I advice you to choose the RMP-2 or the new upcoming RMP-3 (also with Midi support, really great).

welllllllll

i guess I'd have to say thank you!

i think that if you can search and stop a track by moving and pressing the jogwheel everything else should work as well

if you could still let me know about the possibility of stopping and scratching the song once in "relative mode", this would be the last thing i would need to know.

since the scratch option is available on both the rmp2 and rmp1 scratch, I assume the compatibility with TS regarding the points I underlined in my email should be exactly the same, or are the scratch options different on the two players?

if the answer is yes rmp1 scratch should really be enough, because all i search in a cd player is the vinyl/scratch option to be able to fully control the decks on TS.Beatjumping, Loops and effect are always done through the mixer (IQ+2) or the software itself.

Thank you very much, awaiting the other infos, if you are able to get them if course

 ;)

Nope traktor scratch does not work with the rmp's because it send a low sound output and the software(tracks) starts to skip. you can fix this with decreasing the sound of the timecode cd's.

You have to rip your timecodecd with a software to the computer. Then you search on the web mp3gain, in that program you increase the volume -12db. after that you burn your new timecode cd's with i-tune's and select no break inbetween the tracks. if you done this all it will works perfect with tsp. Native Instruments know's about this issue but they can not help you with lowervolume timecode cd's

And another question, maybe its not the right topic but i dont want to start a new one for it. Today i found a Traktor Scratch duo package on the inet which is allready used, and without timecode vinyls.  But the software was allready registered, will i have problems installing it on the pc?

You don't need it anymore. Native Instruments published a new TC-wav in the Service Center which is compatible to our CD-players.

Hy there,
I was reading your comments, and I would appreciate a lot if some one of you could explain me if the Rmp 1 scratch is compatible with my Traktor scratch pro.

I explain, i just bought  a brand new midi IQ2 Midi mixer that works smooth with my dj program, but I'm not able to set my 2 Rmp 1 scratch cdj's it.
I don't care really to search the tracks with the jog wheel or with the trax\search knob, because since 1 year i'm used to load the songs on the deck by my mouse! I just would like to be able to use the cdj's for simple mixing actions.

Thanks a lot
Ciao
