Traktor Pro 1.2 or newerPlease note: This tutorial only works for
Traktor Pro version 1.2 or newer.
To make Traktor Pro working with your RMP-3, a midi mapping has to be imported. So, Traktor knows what to do if a button is pressed on your RMP-3. The following tutorial will explain all important steps to config your Traktor setup.
To facilitate working with your RMP-3 connected to Traktor Pro, you'll find some ready-to-use mappings which can be customized, in the download center.
1) Downloading a corresponding mapping from the download center2) Importing a mapping into Traktor (Scratch) Pro- Before starting Traktor, the RMP-3 should be connected to your computer and should also be installed correctly.
- Then start Traktor and open the settings (attachment 1).

- After that, open “Controller-Manager in the settings window. Within the category “Device Setup, you'll find the button “Add... which has to be clicked once. Using this menu, click “Import (attachment 2).
Note: If you find an old RMP-3 mapping in the list, you have to delete it first! Just choose the mapping, click "Edit...", then "Delete".

- Using the file dialog, choose the newly downloaded mapping file.
- Now the mapping file should be loaded correctly. So, all buttons and knobs should work as expected. Have a look at the screenshot (attachment 3) how it should look like.

Traktor Pro 1.1, older versions or Traktor 3 StudioUsing Traktor Pro 1.1, older versions or Traktor 3 Studio, you have to follow this instruction:
- Downloading a corresponding mapping from the download center (-->point 1)
Please only download compatible mappings.
- Open the settings.
- A window is opening, at the bottom, there's a button "Import" which has to be clicked..
- Now you have to choose the newly downloaded mapping file.
- At last, all buttons and knobs of the RMP-3 should work for you.
Attention: If it is not working either, these are possible reasons:
- The downloaded mapping is not compatible to the Traktor version you're using. Please also give attention to any error message popping up.
- Furthermore the RMP-3 often has to be activated separately (in the settings). Thus, enter the category "Midi devices" and mark in both lists "Input devices" and "Output devices" the "RMP-3" (it's often named "USB-Audio device" instead of "Digital Jockey".) as active.
